Dissolution
A dissolution has the same result of a divorce, i.e., your marriage is terminated. However, in a dissolution all of the details of the divorce are worked out prior to filing with each party agreeing to the terms. Generally, dissolutions are less costly and take less time than a contested divorce. However, the devil is in the details. So much of what can be left out of an agreement can later come back to haunt you. Always have your agreement reviewed by a competent attorney who is familiar with not only what is in the agreement, but also with what has been left out.
